The Project
The activity is an exhibition looking at the therapeutic aspects of painting outside, and how Plein Air Painting offers the artist autonomy and freedom, away from the studio and gallery. The relationships between creativity and Health and Well-Being in line with School of Art research.
Links with Venture Arts (Manchester), Bethlem Gallery (South London) Worcester Gallery and Museum (landscape specialists)
The activity will have learning and teaching in its design, bringing real-world responsibilities in exhibition management and curating, students will be decision-makers and shape the exhibition, skills learnt will include, event management, professional artist/stakeholder relationships, marketing and promotion, design, curating and front of house.
